Falconcloud has launched an MCP server for managing cloud infrastructure through AI assistants. Server operations can now be performed using simple text requests, without the need to work directly with the Public API.
Infrastructure management through MCP
MCP (Model Context Protocol) connects AI assistants to the Falconcloud Public API. Users describe tasks in their own words, and the AI assistant performs actions through the Falconcloud Public API according to the access permissions configured for the project.
- Manage through AI — work with servers using text commands.
- Reduce manual work — there is no need to create API requests manually to perform operations.
- Control access — permissions can be configured separately for each project.
The update will help developers, DevOps engineers, and administrators automate everyday tasks.
New roles and flexible access settings
Falconcloud has also completely updated the "Access" tab in the settings of shared projects. Users can now create custom roles and configure access permissions for them.
Permissions can be configured in several areas:
- By service — vStack Cloud, VMware Cloud, DNS, CDN, VPN, LLM, and other services.
- By action — viewing or modifying resources.
- By project function — access to finances, project data, API, and SSH keys.
The update is useful for teams where members of the same project require different access permissions.
How to get started
- To manage infrastructure through an AI assistant, connect it to the Falconcloud MCP server and configure access to the required projects.
- To configure permissions, open the Falconcloud control panel and go to "Project settings" → "Access". Here, you can create a new role and configure its access permissions.
Both updates are already available in Falconcloud. Connect AI assistants to work with your infrastructure and configure access permissions for your team members.
