GPU in Falconcloud: NVIDIA A16

A new service is now available in Falconcloud — GPU. When creating a virtual machine on VMware servers, users can add an NVIDIA A16 graphics accelerator and use the server for workloads that require GPU resources.
NVIDIA A16 — a powerful card for VDI
NVIDIA A16 is a GPU based on the NVIDIA Ampere architecture with 64 GB of GDDR6 ECC video memory. The card helps run cloud workspaces when users need access to applications, browsers, video conferencing, multimedia, and basic graphics tools.
Use cases:
- remote workspaces for employees;
- cloud-based VDI infrastructure;
- centralized management of user environments;
- work with office, corporate, and web applications;
- user access to work environments without powerful local computers;
- distribution of GPU resources across multiple workspaces.
How billing works
GPU charges are applied immediately for each hour of use. Other virtual machine resources are billed every 10 minutes according to the standard Falconcloud Pay-As-You-Go model.
When creating a server with GPU, users can choose the required amount of vRAM. This allows them to use only the part of video memory needed for a specific task.
Who can benefit from the GPU service
GPU servers are suitable for users who need to run graphical work environments without purchasing and maintaining their own hardware:
- companies with remote teams — for virtual workspaces and VDI infrastructure;
- DevOps engineers and administrators — for deploying GPU servers for work environments and internal services;
- developers — for testing applications with GPU acceleration;
- support and back-office teams — for access to corporate applications from a cloud workspace;
- businesses — for centralized management of employee workspaces.
How to create a server with GPU
- Go to the Falconcloud control panel.
- In the VMware section, select the GPU service and click Create server.
- When creating the server, select NVIDIA A16 and specify the required amount of vRAM.
- Select the operating system and server configuration parameters.
- Complete server creation and start working.
GPU virtual server rental is already available in the Falconcloud panel. Create a server with NVIDIA A16 and use it for remote workspaces, VDI infrastructure, and graphical work environments.
Stay tuned: NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell will soon be available in Falconcloud for AI, graphics, rendering, and compute workloads with large amounts of data.
